DescriptionThis album contains mostly black and white photographs and many have basic labels identifying places and people. Places identified include: Aldeburgh, Snape Maltings, Dartington, Venice and Devonshire. People identified, besides Cross, include Benjamin Britten, Peter Pears, Viola Tunnard, Nancy Evans, Con and Eric Smith, Norma Morgan, Eric Crozier, Martha Lipton, Jennifer Vyvyan, Basil Coleman, David Hemmings, Norma Proctor, Anna Pollak and Steuart Bedford. Most are informal shots taken when relaxing in gardens, on the beach and sightseeing. There are photographs taken during the Aldeburgh Festival as well as during the 1967 Queen's visit to the town and Snape Maltings.
