DescriptionBy Luis de Narvaez, circa 1549. Originally for lute. Manuscript transcribed by Gustav Holst, and transposed down a tone. With pencil annotations by Imogen Holst. [4pp].
Also includes a photocopy of a fragmentary page of an unidentified work, noted in Gustav Holst's hand.
Note on original envelope in Benjamin Britten's hand reads 'Imo dear- a tiny thank-you for a marvellous book, from the grateful subject [This is jolly nearly his first Xmas effort- not, alas, his last]'.
