Also details of other Festival events with notes on music performed, a description of an art exhibition given in conjunction with the Festival, a list of Festival Committee members and Associates and a Forward by the Mayor of Cheltenham.
The Festival also included;
- EOG performances of Beggar's Opera on 5, 6, 8-10 July with Peter Pears as Captain Masheath and Britten conducting some of the performances.
- EOG Chamber Orchestra concert on 4 Jul conducted by Britten (Schubert: Octet in F; Bridge: There is a willow grows aslant a brook; Oldham: Variations on a Carol tune; Ravel: Introduction and allegro for harp)
