- Wooden glockenspiel hammer made by percussionist James Blades for one of the young servants, treble David Morgan, to use on stage in the first production of Britten’s The Prodigal Son in 1968.
- Britten’s notes showing the dynamics he wanted from the glockenspiel player (digitised - see below). Britten wrote these notes in stage manager John Richardson's notebook. Richardson explained that ‘Ben was very particular about the dynamics giving David a personal lesson and writing the pencil notes in my note book’.
