Programme for the Friendship Concerts for the Benefit of the British War Relief Society held at the Elks Auditorium, Providence, Rhode Island. First Concert entitled: Music of Britain, and includes works by Britten, as well as other composers. First performance of Folk Songs No. 6 (The Ash Grove), Fish in the Unruffled Lakes, Funeral Blues and Calypso. Pears sang tenor and Britten was the pianist for these pieces. The programme includes a list of patrons and boosters on active service in England, and information about the second concert in the series.
