Programme for the 1949 Holland Festival, which includes two concerts at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Works by various composers were performed, including the premiere of Britten Spring Symphony, and soloists included Pears (tenor) and Kathleen Ferrier (contralto). A third concert was held on 12 July at the Oude Kerk in Amsterdam, in which Pears (tenor) and others performed the premiere of Bertus Van Lier The Song of Songs. The programme contains a schedule of events for the entire Festival, a description of the aims of the Festival, photographs of Amsterdam, the Concertgebouw, orchestras, operas groups, soloists (including Pears), and conductors, lists of members of the Festival Artistic Committees, short biographies of the orchestras, operas and conductors, and information about the 1950 Holland Festival.
