Programme for the 1951 King's Lynn Festival held at various venues in King's Lynn. On 25 July 1951, Britten (piano), Pears (tenor) and Joan Cross (soprano) performed in an Operatic Recital at the Corn Exchange. On 27 July 1951, Pears (tenor) and other soloists performed in a Choral Concert in St Nicholas' Chapel. The programme contains an introduction by the Queen (with a photograph), a list of King's Lynn Festival committee members, articles on the history of King's Lynn, a schedule for the entire Festival with concert notes and play synopsis, photographs and sketches of the town, photographs of some of the soloists and conductors (including Britten and Pears), a list of guarantors, a map of the town, and various commercial advertisements. There is also a souvenir bookmark. Programme price 2 shillings and 6 pence.
