Leaflet giving the programme of performances for the duration of the eleventh Festival which opened with the new realisation by Raymond Leppard of Monteverdi's Il Ballo Delle Ingrate and the first performance in England of Poulenc's Opéra-Bouffe, Les Mamelles de Tirésias. There were also first performances for Britten's opera Noye's Fludde and his Songs from the Chinese, as well as for Blacher's Divertimento for four wind instruments and Malipiero's Dialoghi No. 4. Other concerts included performances of Wagner, Bach, Handel's Oratorio Joshua and the Britten-Pears Song recital. There was an evening of Indian music performed by the Asian Music Circle, five consecutive evening performances of the Magnificat arranged with the help of the BBC Transcription Service and a special performance of Noye's Fludde in collaboration with Associated Television. Presented in association with the Arts Council was the film The Picasso Mystery.
