Basil Coleman was the director of this BBC Play of the Month production of George Bernard Shaw's play In Good King Charles's Golden Days transmitted on 15 Feb 1970. The cast included Elisabeth Bergner as Catherine of Braganza, John Gielgud as Charles II, Maurice Denham as George Fox, Michael Craig as James II, Joan Greenwood as Louise, Duchess of Portsmouth, Corin Redgrave as Godfrey Kneller, Joyce Redman as Nell Gwyn and Athene Seyler as Mrs Boham. There are twenty two photographs in this file; the twenty third item is a piece cut from the envelope that contained them.
