Printed second proofs with annotations and corrections in Rosamund Strode's hand, made under Britten's supervision, relating to pages 22-24 and 28 of the published score. Marked at the top right-hand corner of page 1-4 with 'DUPLICATE OR CORRECTED / SET'. Accompanied by one page of explanatory notes dated 19 August 1972 and two non-holograph manuscript pages showing the required pianforte right-hand changes on the four pages concerned, in Rosamund Strode's hand. There is also a copy of a typescript letter from Rosamund Strode to Neil Carey at Halstans dated 21 August 1972 referring to Britten's preference for a third option sample change and photocopies of the 'trial' stencilling, the explanatory sheet and pianoforte right-hand part which were all sent to Piers Hembry at Fabers.
