DescriptionBasil Coleman was the director of this BBC production of Giuseppe Verdi's opera Otello transmitted on 16 Feb 1969. The New Philharmonia Orchestra and the Ambrosian Opera chorus were conducted by Charles Mackerras. The cast included Teresa Stratas as Desdemona, Richard Cassilly as Otello and Peter Glossop as Iago. There are four photographs in this file; the fifth item is a piece cut from the envelope that contained them. Colour photographs.
