Basil Coleman was the producer of George Frideric Handel's opera performed by students of the Britten-Pears School for Advanced Musical Studies. The opera workshop culminated in 2 performances at the 1985 Aldeburgh Festival on 7th and 14th June with 2 different casts. These photographs show cast members from both performances. One of the photographs shows Coleman onstage guiding Edward McGough, the boy playing Flavio. Other roles were Rodelinda performed by Louise Camens then Alison Hagley; Bertarido by Christopher Royall then Brian Gordon; Grimoaldo by Mark Tucker then Paul Nilon; Eduige by Rosalind Eaton then Margaret Cameron; Unulpho by Nicholas Clapton then Robert Chavner; Garibaldo by Thomas Goerz then Gerald Finlay; Nurse by Julia Lang; and the guards by Christopher Caldwell, Max Jones and David Mold.
