Two year old Coleman is standing in a garden, probably in Salisbury, Rhodesia; now Harare, Zimbabwe. He is holding what are probably his Christmas presents and is surrounded by three older children and a young woman. Friends or family are probably rallying round as Coleman's mother Mabel Evans had died of Spanish Flu two months previously having given birth to his brother Kenneth 5 weeks earlier.
