Letter from Pears thanking Smith for her help with the Aldeburgh Festival Singers and complimenting the choir on their sound for their performance of Coleridge-Taylor's Hiawatha's Wedding Feast at the 1975 Aldeburgh Festival.

Maggie Smith, MBE was the Music Secretary at UEA for many decades (possibly from the very beginning of the music department under Philip Ledger) and was consequently required to organise the rehearsals and concerts given by The Aldeburgh Festival Singers during that time.
She died in June 2024 at the age of 94.
