Performances of works by Britten included:
Midsummer Night’s Dream, Quatre Chansons Françaises, Temporal Variations (1936), Two Insect Pieces (1935), featured in Choir of St Thomas’ Church Fifth Avenue New York City concert (unspecified works), Choral Dances from ‘Gloriana’, ‘Britten’s theatre music’ featuring scenes from The Ascent of F6 and On the frontier, Six Metamorphoses after Ovid, Aldeburgh Variations (1953) and Les Illuminations.
Peter Pears performed in: Publisher’s Choice: Faber Music concert, with the Linday Quartet to premiere John Tavener’s Six Abbasid Songs, there was also a full day of events to celebrate his 70th Birthday.

Robin Holloway – Ode: for four winds and strings (commissioned by National Westminster Bank Ltd to mark Sir Peter Pears’ 70th Birthday) (assumed first performance)
Colin Matthews- Shadows in the Water for Tenor and Piano
Roger Smalley – Movement for flute and piano.
John Tavener – Six Abbasid Songs for three flutes, percussion, percussion, and tenor
