This Atelier Lyrique production opened at the Théâtre de Caen on 22nd February, 1974 with a performance for Schools at 17 h 15 and received two further performances on 23 and 24 February at 20h 30.
The cast was: Lady Billows, Martine Surais; Florence Pike, her housekeeper, Pierrette Thevenon; Miss Wordsworth head teacher at the School, Huguette Hennetier; Mr Gedge the Vicar, René Gamboa; Mr Upfold, the Mayor, José Denisty; Superintendant Budd, Xavier Tamalet; Sid the Butcher's assistant, Jean Angot; Albert Herring from the greengrocer's, Michel Hamel; Nancy from the bakery, Christiane Issartel; Mrs Herring, Albert's mother, Jeannine Cooren; the village children Emmie, Monique de Wint; Cis, Evelyne Madelon and Harry, Thérèse Cedelle.
