1967-1977
The original EOG production went on tour in 1966 to Courtrai, Amsterdam, the Hague, Southwark Cathedral London, Kings Lynn, Durham Cathedral, Liverpool and Lincoln and was revived for the 1967 Aldeburgh Festival in Orford Church on 12, 17 and 24 June. There was then a performance at a Promenade Concert in the Royal Albert Hall and a tour to Ripon Cathedral, Montreal Expo' 67; in 1968 to Versailles, the City of London Festival in St Paul's Cathedral, to Ghent Cathedral, Terni (Italy), St Mary's Cathedral in Edinburgh, Padua, Berlin, to the Stroud Festival in Gloucester Cathedral; in 1970 to Adelaide, Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney; to the Harrogate Festival in Ripon Cathedral, to the Maltings, Snape; in 1977 to Brussels Cathedral, St George's Windsor and to the Arts Centre Horsham.
The photographs in this series have the following identified cast: Peter Pears, Nebuchadnezzar; Bryan Drake, The Astrologer; Benjamin Luxon, Ananias/Shadrach and probably Bernard Dickerson as Misael/Meshach. In the E.O.G. productions index these singers are only together in the performances at The Boyton Hall, Adelaide and Wilson Hall Melbourne, Australia in March 1970. The transparencies from the same location may have John Fryatt or John Winfield as Nebuchadnezzar. Other members of the cast in Australia were: Thomas Hemsley, The Astrologer; Michael Rippon, Ananias/Shadrach; Maurice Arthur, Misael/Meshach; Paschal Allen and David Hartley, Azarias/Abednego and Peter Leeming and John Mckenzie as The Herald
