After a preview for members of the League of Composers on 4th May performances ran nightly for a week, with a matinee on 10th May. The cast, from the Columbia Theatre Associates of Columbia University, New York, were: Narrator Mordecai Bauman, Voice of Paul Bunyan Milton Warchoff, Cross Crosshaulson Walter Graf, John Shears Leonard Stocker, Sam Sharkey Clifford Jackson, Ben Benny Eugene Bonham, Jen Jenson Ernest Holcombe, Pete Peterson Lewis Pierce, Andy Anderson Ben Carpens, Western Union Boy Henry Bauman, Hel Helson Bliss Woodward, Johnny Inkslinger William Hess, Hot Biscuit Slim Charles Cammock, Tiny Helen Marshall; Three Wild Geese and Fido, Moppet and Poppet: Augusta Dorn, Harriet Greene, and Pauline Kleinhesselink; The Chorus from the New York Schola Cantorum took the parts of Old Trees, Young Trees, Lumberjacks, Film Stars, Models and Frontier Women and were: Marie Bellejean, Eloise Calinger, Irma Commanday, Alice Gerstz Duschak, Marian Edwards, Elizabeth Flynn, Rose Harris, Ellen Huffmaster, Eleanor Hutchings, Ethel Madsen, Jean Phillips, Evelyn Ray, Irma Shocken, Adelaide Van Way, Jane Weaver, Ida Weirich, Marjorie Williamson, Alan Adair, Elmer Barber, Thomas Flynn, Joseph Harrow, Arnold Jaffe, Marlowe Jones, W. Fredric Plette, Charles Snitow, Robert Zeller.
Instrumentalists were drawn from the Columbia University Department of Music. The settings, designed by John W. Lowe were built and painted under his supervision by members of the play production classes. Lighting was designed and executed by Stuart Machlin. The producer was Milton Smith and conductor Hugh Ross.
